All That Dance has a long
history of being involved in local communities, including bringing dance to as
many people, in as many ways as possible. Here are some of the ways we do that:
- Dance classes for families
staying at the Seattle Ronald McDonald House: We teach classes twice per
month at "the House," where families are staying in Seattle while one of their
children undergoes treatment for a serious illness. All That Dance donates a
staff member and props and teen members of the All That Dance Honor Club help
out.
- Donated dance classes: Each
year, we donate to about 50 auctions to help schools and church auctions raise
money. In 2009, these donations totaled more than $8,000 in donated classes.
- Scholarship program: Each
year, we give scholarships to more than 30 students per year, partly from All
That Dance operating funds and partly from proceeds from "Take Five," our
coffee/snack bar (10 percent of proceeds go into the scholarship fund).
- The All That Dance Honor
Club: We sponsor this local affiliate of this national group that is
dedicated to giving young dancers performance and choreography experience and
bringing dance to local communities.
